Systems Engineering

Systems engineering is concerned with the creation, implementation, and evaluation of carefully integrated elements, components, or parts interconnected to accomplish a common purpose or goal. It carefully applies scientific knowledge to enhance systems of any form. It analyzes designs and complex interrelation of many element to maximize an agreed upon measure of System Performance taking into consideration all of the elements related in any way to the System, including utilization of workers power as characteristics of each of the System Components.

This is one of the reasons why I’ve been busy lately, Systems Engineering is a Research/Thesis Subject in which I had to conduct an evaluation or study in a selected Organization. My topic was “Event Space Rental System” and was conducted in Robinsons Place Cebu Mall.

An Event is a significant occurrence or happening, social gathering for a common purpose or for purposes that is organized by a person or institution. Event Space Rental/Leasing is a circumstance that provides use or occupation of a space or property for a short period of time under a term of contract.

Robinsons Place Cebu is strategically located within walking distance from a number of office buildings, banks, pension houses, hospitals and hotels. it stands within three major thoroughfares Fuente Osmeña Avenue, General Maxilom Avenue and F. Ramos Street which is at the Heart of Metro Cebu.

I shall treasure this experience, being able to study in a known institution is a great honor and I would like to thank, the Lord, a delayed Happy Mother’s Day shout-out to my mom for all her support, my classmates, our retiring IE Chair Arch. Jose S. Bañez, my cool Panelist Engr. Wison Celocia and my Resource Speaker Ms. Analie Andrin of Robinsons.

I finally defended it successfully yesterday with flying colors I might add! Whew and now I have one more subject/project to worry about…Systems Simulation.
