Feast of St. Ignatius

The Patron Saint of my High school Alma matter is St. Ignatius of Loyola. He was born in Spain from 1491 - 1556. He was a soldier and after being injured, was converted and found God. He went to Paris to study theology and there was able to gather his first followers and founded the Society of Jesus in Rome (Commonly known as "JESUITS" w/ an initial of "SJ" at the end of their names).

Some activities are celebrated to day in my Alma matter like the Ignatius Run and some masses here and there. But I would like to tell you to read or research on St. Ignatius and his life for it is very inspiring.

Paul to the Corinthians (10:31-11):

Whaterver you eat, whatever you drink, whether you do at all, do it for the glory of God! Never do anything offensive to anyone - to Jews or Greeks or to the Church of God; just as I try to be helpful to everyone at all times, not anxious for my own advantage but for the advantage of everybody else, so that they may be saved. Take me for your model, as I take Christ.
