DBP with BIR officially Launches PayTax Online

Paying taxes just got easier as the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) launched a new payment service system which is designed to enable Filipino taxpayers in electronically paying their taxes with the BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue).

Tax payers can use Philippine-issued credit and ATM cards to pay their taxes through the online tax payment portal which can receive payments 24/7!

Pay Taxes Online Platform

PayTax Online (www.DBPpaytax.com) is a tax payment solution where filers can lodge their payments electronically just by providing data such as TIN, Form Number, Tax Type, RDO, and Amount.

The website is part of the BIR's program to increase tax collection revenue, which is already 6 percent short of its target for the first nine months of 2017.

With PayTax Online, filers have two options in lodging their payment:

  • Through any connected Bancnet ATM via debit facility, along with a fixed Php35.00 fee per payment
  • By using MasterCard and Visa debit cards which also includes a Php35.00 fee + 2% of total amount of taxes paid

For security purposes, taxpayers will be required to key in a one-time password (OTP), which will be sent to their mobile phones.

Give it a try and let us know what you think about it!
