TM Partners with Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3X3 League to Elevate Pinoy Basketball

Basketball is a sport that Filipinos hold close to their hearts. More than the thrill and excitement during games, the sport greatly depicts the nation’s fighting spirit and determination. There’s nothing like seeing home-grown players give it their all against the world’s bests in the international stage, thrive and win. That’s Pinoy pride as its finest.

To show its support for Pinoy basketball and help top local talents take part in more international competitions, TM announced its recent partnership with Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3X3, the first ever professional 3X3 league in the Philippines. Kicking off this partnership, TM will be sponsoring the upcoming 12-team Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3X3 President’s Cup that is tentatively scheduled to begin by early October.

For TM, this is an opportunity for Filipinos to take a moment from their stressful days to relax and bond with their families by watching the league’s action-filled games on TV or via online streaming as we wait for the day when live audiences can be allowed in sporting events again.

“TM is one wiith the Chooks-toGo Pilipinas 3x3 President’s Cup in championing the talents of our local players and bringing them to the international stage,” said Kristelle Dizon, Globe VP for Consumer Mobile Business. “We continue to look for ways to help rekindle the passion of fans for basketball games by supporting Chooks-toGo Pilipinas 3x3 President’s Cup online. This will allow fans to watch and support their favorite teams while staying safe at home.”

The President’s Cup will feature 11 teams that will set out to compete against the Family's Brand Sardines-Zamboanga City Chooks 3X3 team composed of Philippines’ top basketball players Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike, in the finals. This is to help the squad prepare for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament next year.

The competing teams include Uling Roasters-Butuan City, Bacolod-Masters Sardines, Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, Palayan City Capitals, Zamboanga Peninsula Valientes MLV, Porac Big Boss Cement Green Gorillas, Bicol 3x3 Pro, Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors, Saranggani Marlins, Pagadian City Rocky Sports Valientes, and Petra Cement.

The Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3X3 League was created to boost the country’s bid to qualify in the 3X3 basketball event in the Olympics and further put Philippines sports on the map. Since its launch, the league has had its inaugural season in 2019 and already built a huge following of devoted fans.
