Saturday, February 23, 2008 Posted by vernon go

This expo will showcase educational institution from all over the world catering to all levels of learning, from pre-school to

college and vocational institutions as

well as specialty course providers.

The cebu education expo starts from feb. 21-24, 2008 at the SM CITY CEBU Trade hall during its opening, the expo was graced with guests from the dept. of educ. Secretary Jesli Lapus, CHED regional director Enrique Grecia, Dept. of Educ. Regional Director Carolino Mordeno, TESDA OIC Regional Director Rossana Ordaneta, and Cebu City Vice Mayor Mike Rama in attendace.

I basically came at the opening out of curiosity and to inquire at any resent exhibitor if they offer the Master’s/Post-Graduate Studies of my choice at there school. The main exhibitors were basically schools from cebu, some from Mindanao and Luzon area and I was even surprised to see and come across a school from Singapore. Others were Bookstores, Specialized schools, Call centers and the like.

Compared to last year, there were fewer exhibitors or maybe the space was downsized a bit. But I was really intrigued and impressed with the presentation of the Singaporeans on there curriculum and the like. The school is 3dsense media school, a school of interactive Visual Arts. They offer a Diploma in Digital Visual Effects and Animation, and Diploma in Communication Design. In lay-man’s terms “SPECIAL EFFECTS and 3-D ANIMATION”!!!! COOL!!! In one-year time from Monday to Sunday 9-5PM, you’ll become an Expert and may have a chance to work in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, UK, Canada and Singapore. 3dsense Media School is ranked at the Top 10 in the rest of the world for CG Education. For more info., you may visit www.3dsense.net

As for the rest of the day, I horded some flyers and brochures from other schools, call centers and my favorite promotional material second to the 3dsense was from the Ateneo de Manila University which was pretty expensive looking but given away for free!!! Weeee!!!

The Cebu Education Expo is organized by CEO Events and Expos Organizers and Coalition for Better Education. For more inquiries and info. You may visit www.cebueducationexpo.com.
