5th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit

The 5th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit aims to bring together the
top 90 Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao-based college students in the following
fields: Business Management, Accounting, Communications, Political Science,
Computer Science / IT, Marketing / Finance, Engineering, Psychology and
Economics.

Program Theme & Objectives

The theme for this year, Finding Your Passion, Shaping Your Future, is
anchored on the company’s brand position Passion for Better Ways which is a
fresh expression of a cherished century-old mindset of never being content
with the status quo and always finding ways to improve the way we do things
. The 5th AFLBS aspires to challenge these promising young students to
step out of their collegiate mindset, look into the future, and aspire to
be one of the country’s future leaders in whatever field they plan to
pursue, business or otherwise.

The summit aims to achieve this by providing students with a close preview
of the corporate scenario and the range of possible career options
available and simulating real work and business situations through various
activities & plenary sessions.


Student Qualifications

1 Filipino citizen, 25 years old or younger by September 2010
2 Bonafide student of the school
3 Undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree for the 1st time
(incoming 3rd or 4th year students by September 2010)
4 Ranked in the top 20 of their college or department
5 Model of integrity, discipline and excellence
6 Recognized, active and effective student leader on campus
7 Active leader or officer of any student organization – student
government, academic, cause-oriented, socio-civic or religious in nature
8 Possesses excellent communication skills
9 No disciplinary case in or outside campus
10 Former AFLBS delegates will no longer qualify but may
volunteer to be part of our working committee




Application Process

1 Qualified students must complete the application form.
2 The form must be submitted to their designated school official
together with an official transcript of records (TOR), a recommendation
letter (academe or non-academe), and the necessary supporting documents.
All requirements must be placed inside a brown envelope.
3 From the student applications, the designated school official
will choose the Top 20 3rd and 4th year students to be submitted by
Friday, April 16, 2010 to:

1 All submitted applications will undergo paper screening.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a panel interview.
2 Cebu candidates will be invited to the Aboitiz Corporate
Center in Banilad, Cebu City for an interview with Corporate HR.
3 Non-Cebu candidates will be interviewed in their respective
schools. Interview schedules will be announced.
4 The top 90 students will be selected and invited to join the 5
th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit on September 10 -11, 2010 in
Cebu City. They will be officially informed through their designated
school officials.
