The Cebu leg of the SME Speaker series brings one of the country’s most sought-after motivational speaker, Anthony N. Pangilinan as guest lecturer, to talk about the importance of business values and how it can be a big factor in helping businesses grow and prosper. Plantersbank SME Ethics Speaker series was held last August 26, 2010 at the City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park.

It was a very unique learning session wherein the audience were majority composed of businessmen and entrepreneurs. Also, it was my first time to encounter the Audience Response System (A little remote thing to use for quick statistics) for live survey questions from the speaker himself.

Take-aways:

• As an aspiring public speaker myself, I really learned a lot from Mr. Anthony Pangilinan
• I was also able to see and observe a very well organized event, they were all very prepared.
• The theme/topic was very timely, it’s not just limited to business but can be applied to one’s day to day activities.
• “It is not right to be contented while someone else suffers the consequences, directly or indirectly.”
• “Popeye moment” - “That’s all I can stand, I can stands no more.”
