The lead Vehicle with the Shoebox Caravan TARP |
There are a lot of
Outreach programs during the holidays and adding more chaos to the fray seems useless. But it seems that one more will do no harm and gift giving will always be appreciated especially for those who are in need of the
Christmas Spirit. We participated in an Outreach entitled:
Shoebox Caravan for the Holidays!

A very satisfied recipient >_< |
The
Christmas shoebox project was officially called
“Kahon Pahalipay Sa Sugbo, Amihanan Edition.” They partnered up with the mother organization, R
amon Aboitiz Foundation Incorporated and schools like USJR, USC, CDU, Sto. Nino Mactan and organizations like
Dilaab Foundation and
myCebu.

Heavy Shoe boxes? |
I personally did this as one of the organizers and participant at the same time, I did the documentation and helped whenever I can in distributing these
Gifts to Children and give them a chance to smile and be a Kid!

Pre-distribution of Shoeboxes in Talisay =) |
The
Aboitiz Leaders of Excellence thought the same thing when they organized the
ALEx Christmas Shoebox Caravan 2010. Early December, they were asking the public and program partners to find an empty shoebox and fill it with non perishable gifts such as toys, clothes and toiletries with an option to include a letter to its potential recipient. They labeled the boxes for children and for elderly.

At Sibonga! |
And by December 22, 2010, we were able to set up a caravan to Cebu’s south provinces and were able to make some 800 children have something to smile about this Christmas. We went to Talisay, Naga, San Fernando, Carcar and then in Sibonga!
