4th Triennial Awards: Leaders of Change Summit
The Triennial Awards for exemplary individual and outstanding institution in the Visayas and Mindanao, is an initiative of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. to recognize noteworthy individuals & institutions and to encourage them who through their efforts bring about hope and change for the betterment of the lives of the less privileged--reflect the philanthropic, humanitarian and holistic ideals of Don Ramon and Don Eduardo Aboitiz.
These Awards, which are presented every three years, are given in two categories, the RAMON ABOITIZ AWARD for exemplary Individual and the EDUARDO ABOITIZ AWARD for Outstanding Institution. Individual and Institutional awardees are chosen from those involved in the broad field of social development.
The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) will confer the 4th Triennial Awards for Exemplary Individual and Outstanding Institution in the Visayas and Mindanao on the evening of March 6 at the Casino Español, and hold the 1st Triennial Awards: Leaders of Change Summit on March 4-5.
A summit of the Triennial finalists from the 1st to the 4th run of the Triennials will also be held prior to the awarding ceremonies. The summit will include a public forum on March 4 at the Sacred Heart Center and a conference exclusive to the Triennial awardees and finalists on March 5.
The summit is organized to establish and strengthen the connection between and among the Triennial winners and finalists and possibly come up with a collective action. Also, the event aims to invigorate their passion to serve, and reaffirm the relevance and value of their work and contribution to the community.
I was only there for Half-day since I had some other tasks and priorities that need immediate attention. But it was truly a nice event with forums on the topics: Peace and Development, Governance & Leadership, Agriculture, Community Development, Environment, Human Development, Health Care, Poverty Alleviation, and Education. This was done simultaneously during the Break-out sessions, I attended agriculture since it was something new and I learned a lot about it.
