This post is dedicated to our hero Ninoy Aquino!

It’s Ninoy Aquino’s day. It’s the day he got assasinated but this day is more of the commemoration of the event that led to People Power that gave this country the freedom we are enjoying right now. On August 21, 1983, Ninoy was shot dead at the airport tarmac upon his return from an exile in U.S.

His death later spurred the historical People Power revolt that ended the decade-long Ferdinand Marcos dictatorship and catapulted Ninoy’s widow Corazon Aquino to presidency. Thanks to Ninoy, we are enjoying this forsaken and abused democracy that we have now. But all hope is not lost, we must now work together more than ever for a better community, country and world! They say he is the President that we never had!
