"Be You."
Society can be cruel. Many people fall prey into the dictates of society, to do things that are "expected". How to live your life; the acceptable definition of beauty; to be pre-judged because of your heritage, skin color, social background.

To be deviant from the average, from the accepted and common normal, means to be branded like an outsider, or an outcast; to be mocked and judged harshly. If society wants us to stereotype, to put fixed descriptions and labels on other people, would you still want to conform to such a society?

All I can say is.. Do not be afraid. Magpakatotoo ka! Sometimes the people around you won't understand your journey. They don't need to, it's not theirs and not for them to begin with.

Bring people who matter and care closer to you and ignore the negative and useless critics, that's how you survive.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." - Eleanor Roosevelt

*ranting with passionate words as well as matching (a few) tears falling down

“A man is likely to mind his own business when it is worth minding. When it is not, he takes his mind off his own meaningless affairs by minding other people’s business.” - Eric Hoffer

Indeed, you are not a number. You are not your grades, your weight, your number of awards. You are a puddle of sunshine, all you need to do is choose to be. You are what you love, who you love and why you love. You are you and that's alright.

This was a very interesting leg of the Good Advice project where tears were involved. Though it is good to let off some steam. Another thing that made this interview cool, awesome and interesting is I had to resort in using a tactic used in the movie 'The Interview."

*Spoilers ahead!* -- Where Dave Skylark (James Franco) had to sing a line from Katy Perry's Firework in order for Kim Jong Un to open up.

I had to because well, we did agree in FB chat to do the interview and on the spot, she wanted to back-out. So sorry for forcing you and at the same time Thank you because Vernie You're a FIREWORK! :)

And thank you for the witnesses of this tactic who joined in the singing as well: Chatch, Vinder, and Raz!

*Now imagine us doing all that singing!
