Academy for International Culinary Arts Cebu

I just experienced an Awesome Cooking Adventure last May 28, 2010, at the Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA). We had a cooking party in AICA or Academy for International Culinary Arts in The Gallery, Mabolo, Cebu City.

Last May 16, 2010, the Academy for International Culinary Arts celebrated the opening of their first branch outside Manila. Since 2004, the Academy for International Culinary Arts has been successful in Manila and priding itself in providing world-class culinary education. And in 2009, Michael Moreno Tiaoqui and Chef Johann Chiongbian Young felt that Cebu was ready for the Academy's Premier International Culinary Arts program.

Equipped with the industry's top professionals and together with Chef Nikko Mabugat as its Director, AICA will create masters that are armed with the competitive skills and knowledge to succeed in the culinary arena. From full diploma course to course customization, the Academy offers a wide array of choices for various specializations to cater to your Culinary preferences.

Here's a quick view of the courses they offer:

Certificate in the Fundamentals of Professional Cooking

Certificate in the Fundamentals of Professional Baking and Pastry

Certificate in the Fundamentals of Professional Asian Cooking

Certificate in the Fundamentals of Professional European Cooking

The Academy-Cebu is now accepting enrollees for June 2010 batch. AICA is located at The Gallery, Juan Luna St. corner Golam Drive Mabolo, Cebu City. or inquiries you may call hermie at 032 3164828. You may also Visit AICA Culinary.

Special thanks to Chef Johann Young, Chef Nikko Mabugat (Thanks also for taking our pics using my cam), Chef Joe Mike Lontoc and Chef Marleen Ong for the sumptuous food and also this wonderful opportunity to be under their guidance even for a short time!

My experience in this prestigious cooking school, made me want to say this is the Best Cooking School in Cebu! No need to go abroad to learn from the best when the best is right here in Cebu and right now!

  1. Hehe, the experience was great. Deep frying and sugar-coating the Churos were a breeze. the piping was more challenging though. Chef Nikko and the rest of the faculty are friendly and they just know how to teach newbies just as how they cook.
