Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort @ 21 years

Last July 21, 2010, Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort celebrated its 21st anniversary "Coming Together at 21". Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort is truly a beautiful place, even better since the last time I was there. I am always surprised when I visit Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort!

It started off with the welcoming remarks from Consul Arcadio Alegrado, Chairman of the Board. He extended his welcome and thanks to the suppliers, producers, employees, guests of the event and also in behalf of his wife and children who are now running the resort.

Mr. Rhyz Buac, General Manager, made an Audio-Visual Presentation called "Moving Forward". It showcased the humble roots of Maribago Bluewater through the years, from a simple beach front into a lush paradise - a premier resort destination in Cebu.

The resort started off with just 40 employees and now employ more than 350 people. Maribago has grown their rooms to 158, 4 major food outlets, 3 pools, an in-house spa and including their very own man-made island to boot. The presentation presented by the General Manager was generally about the updates, renovations and improvements made with the resort and their brand expansions such as:

Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort
Panglao Bluewater Beach Resort (opens in 2011)
Including their sister company they also have Almont Hotel and Resorts in Northern Mindanao.

The resort also wants to strengthen their "Blue Goes Green" program in order to preserve the environment and conserve water resources which is part of Maribago's CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility.

The program continued with the recognition of employees, suppliers and top producers of the resort. Dinner buffet was then served and raffle prizes were given away. It was a fun night of dancing, music and AWESOME food (will post a separate food entry on my Food Blog) dedicated to celebrate 21 years of service and an event of recognition for the Maribago Bluewater's top producers and suppliers, including the recognition of pioneering employees of the resort.
